North Star Job Hunt currently uses AI to help users draft or improve written content, practise for interviews, structure career-planning next steps, support recruiter screening workflows, and provide similar guided assistance where a user asks North Star to generate, refine, summarise, or coach.

Examples may include CV and cover-letter drafting support, interview practice prompts and feedback, career-agent suggestions, recruiter screening support, and other guided outputs that help users move from uncertainty to a clearer next step.

North Star Job Hunt may also use AI-supported moderation, abuse-prevention, or workflow checks where necessary to protect the service, reduce harmful use, or improve the usefulness of generated output.

North Star Job Hunt does not present its AI tools as final decision-makers for hiring, employment, account suspension, or other outcomes with legal or similarly significant effects on a person.

North Star Job Hunt does not claim that AI outputs are always correct, complete, unbiased, or suitable to send without review. AI content can contain hallucinations, factual mistakes, awkward wording, omissions, and advice that is too broad for a user's real situation.

North Star Job Hunt does not present AI output as legal advice, regulated financial advice, tax advice, medical advice, or a substitute for appropriate professional support.

Users are expected to review AI-assisted outputs before saving, sending, sharing, or relying on them. This applies to candidates using drafting or interview tools, recruiters using screening assistance, and employers using North Star in support of a hiring workflow.

If a recruiter, employer, or hiring contact uses North Star output in recruitment, that organisation remains responsible for meaningful human review of the actual decision-making process. North Star is intended to support people, not to replace accountable human judgement.

North Star's current approach is intended to avoid solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Where AI contributes to a workflow, a person should still review and interpret the output before action is taken.

Where North Star offers representational autonomy for a 95%+ match, the feature is strictly opt-in, off by default, and only unlocked after the user has completed an initial pattern of manual submissions.

This workflow is only available where the user has explicitly accepted the current Representational Agreement. The user can intercept the pending submission during the protected review period, move it into manual review, and continue editing the drafted materials personally.

North Star aims to keep this workflow aligned with 2026 UK transparency expectations by making the pending state visible, logging the reason for each step, and running a final pre-dispatch validation before any representation is sent.

North Star aims to make it clear when a feature is AI-assisted, what the feature is intended to help with, and where extra care is needed before relying on the result.

Where AI-assisted output may affect applications, screening, candidate communication, or other meaningful next steps, North Star aims to explain what information went into the output, what the user should still check for themselves, and what will or will not happen automatically afterwards.

North Star also aims to provide related legal and privacy links at the point where AI-assisted content is generated or reviewed, so users can understand the surrounding terms, privacy position, and cookie controls without hunting for them.

AI systems can reflect or amplify bias in data, prompts, assumptions, or language patterns. North Star aims to design and present AI features in a way that reduces unjustified bias and encourages fair human checking before important decisions are made.

Recruiters, employers, and hiring contacts must not use North Star AI output as a shortcut around fair recruitment practice, equality obligations, or role-relevant human assessment. Candidate screening, shortlisting, and progression decisions must remain fair, lawful, and explainable.

North Star aims to use only the information reasonably needed to produce the requested output or operate the relevant workflow.

Where North Star uses third-party providers to support AI-assisted features, those providers may process data on North Star's behalf as service providers or processors. Users should avoid entering unnecessary special-category data, confidential third-party information, or other material they do not need North Star to process for the task they are asking it to perform.

AI-assisted features may be rate-limited, moderated, temporarily unavailable, or restricted where North Star detects abuse, unusual activity, safety risks, missing configuration, or another operational reason.

North Star may change the models, prompts, safety controls, wording, structure, or availability of AI-assisted features over time in order to improve performance, reduce risk, or respond to legal, supplier, or product changes.

North Star does not guarantee that any AI-assisted feature will always produce the same result from the same prompt, or that a generated output will remain available indefinitely in exactly the same form.

You are responsible for checking AI-assisted output before you use it. Candidates should review applications, CVs, interview answers, and salary assumptions. Recruiters and employers should review candidate-facing content, screening questions, and any AI-supported hiring workflow carefully before acting on it.

You must not use North Star AI features to submit unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, misleading, or confidential material that you do not have the right to use. You must not try to manipulate, overload, or misuse AI features in a way that harms other users or the operation of the Website.
